The Tokyo exhibition, which is one of the highlights of the prestigious event "Primavera Italiana 2007", is promoted by the Italian Ministry of Cultural Heritage, the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Italian Embassy in Tokyo. It is organized by the "Primavera Italiana 2007" Steering Committee, the Tokyo National Museum, the Asahi Shimbun, NHK and NHK Promotions.
The Tokyo show displays the sections III to VI of the original exhibition, integrated with two new sections purposely conceived in order to allow the Japanese public to better understand Leonardo da Vinci's life and work. The original painting of the Annunciation, exceptionally loaned by the Uffizi Gallery, is an integral part of the exhibition.
