Seminar: Processi a Galileo, 1633–1992 (in Italian)

The seminar will discuss, on the basis of a vast collection of little-known documentation, the evolution of the attitude of censorship with regards to the new assumed Copernican cosmology, over the course of the past three centuries and up until the recent "rehabilitation" of Galileo by Giovanni Paolo II, not only from the ecclesiastical authorities, but also from intellectual movements and environments.
