In September the IMSS will participate in the Perugia Science Festival (September 2-11) and the Philosphy Festival in Modena (September 16-18) with the educational workshop dedicated to "Art and Science: the Science of Drawing". The workshop has been entirely reworked in Perugia with the title " Linee d'ombra: scoprire la scienza della prospettiva" ("Lines of Shadow: Discovering the Science of Perspective"). In Modena, meanwhile, an evocative anamorphic installation entitled " Gli inganni dell'occhio" ("Tricks of the Eye") has been set up with the unusual instruments from the laboratory; furthermore, in Sassuolo, as part of the same exhibition, children from the ages of 9 to 13 will be able to participate in the workshop " I segreti dell'ombra. Giochi prospettici, tra arte e scienza" ("The Secrets of the Shadow: Perspective Games, Between Art and Science").
The Festival in Perugia also hosts Il cielo nuovo ("A Brand New Sky") the scientific theater piece presented at the History of Science Museum in 2004 which received notable appreciation from the public and staff.
